Cleaning surrounding area of ‘Ram Manohar Lohia Park’

Brief about the activity:

On March 12, 2023, a group of students from the Lucknow Public College of Professional Studies (LPCPS) undertook a community service project in Ram Manohar Lohia Park under the supervision of NSS program coordinator. The activity involved the clearing of the road and surrounding areas of the park.

The community service activity started at 9 am, with students arriving at the park with gloves, garbage bags, and brooms. The students were divided into groups and assigned specific areas to clean. The road and surrounding areas were divided into several sections, and each group was responsible for cleaning their assigned section. The students worked tirelessly for several 3 hours, picking up garbage, sweeping the road, and collecting litter.

During the activity the students learned how to clean the road and surrounding areas of the park. The activity also helped to raise awareness among the students about the importance of keeping public places clean and the impact of littering on the environment.
