BRIEF ABOUT THE ACTIVITY
Under the Village Adoption Policy (VAP), a dedicated team of VAP volunteers from Lucknow Public College of Professional Studies paid a visit to Faridpur Gram Panchayat. The team consisted of ten enthusiastic students and three accompanying faculty members. Throughout the visit, discussions transpired between the Pradhan, local community members, and VAP volunteers, centering on the prevalent issues faced by villagers in their everyday lives.
The discourse predominantly highlighted the challenges impacting the villagers' daily routines. During these deliberations, it became evident that there is a crucial need to raise awareness regarding the importance of environment, education, and menstrual hygiene. Ms. Akanksha Rastogi proposed organizing a sanitary pad distribution drive, a suggestion warmly welcomed by Pradhan Ms. Nitu, Dr. Ashish and Mr. Chetan Khanna, faculty members from LPCPS.
विलेज एडॉप्शन पॉलिसी (वैप) के तहत, लखनऊ पब्लिक कॉलेज ऑफ प्रोफेशनल स्टडीज के वैप वॉलंटियर्स की टीम ने फरीदपुर ग्राम पंचायत का दौरा किया। इस टीम में दस छात्र और दो शिक्षक सदस्य शामिल थे। दौरे के दौरान, प्रधान और स्थानीय समुदाय के सदस्यों एवम् वैप वॉलंटियर्स के बीच गांव के मुद्दों पर बातचीत हुई। चर्चा मुख्य रूप से गाँववालों की दिनचर्या में आने वाली समस्याओं पर थी। चर्चा के दौरान यह अनुभव हुआ कि पर्यावरण, शिक्षा और पीरियड्स के दौरान मासिक धर्म की स्वच्छता बनाए रखने के महत्व के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने की एक अत्यावश्यक जरूरत है। सुश्री आकांक्षा रस्तोगी ने सेनेटरी पैड वितरण अभियान का आयोजन करने का सुझाव दिया, जिसे प्रधान श्रीमती नीतू, डॉ. आशीष और श्री मान चेतन खन्ना, एलपीसीपीएस के शिक्षक सदस्य, ने खुशी से स्वागत किया।
