An Awareness Campaign on Animal Welfare was organized for the students of Lucknow Public College of Professional Studies on 27th January, 2024. This was conducted by NSS Unit of LPCPS for the holistic overall development of the College students. The session was conducted by Ms. Shaba Bano, Honorary Animal Welfare Officer of ‘Society for Animal Welfare’. The goal of the session was to educate the new generation to respect animals and teach how to assist other living beings who are less fortunate. A speaker provided basic knowledge and advices on how everyone can easily help strays survive; highlighting which are the basic needs of an animal such as the necessity of receiving food, water and a secure shelter where to rest and recover away from dangers and bad weather conditions.

Additionally, students learned how important it is to adopt responsibly, raise awareness for preventing animal cruelty abuse and to report animal abuse and rescue lost or injured animals.
