On 17 February 2024, Lucknow Public College of Professional Studies organized an educational excursion to Ayodhya, a city of immense religious significance in India. The visit aimed to provide students with a deeper understanding of the cultural and religious importance of the Ram Temple, as well as to foster an appreciation for the social tenets that promote communal harmony.
Upon arrival in Ayodhya, the students visited the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple complex, the site of the disputed Ram temple. They learned about the historical and mythological significance of the site, as well as the recent developments surrounding the construction of the new Ram temple. The students also had the opportunity to observe the vibrant religious rituals and ceremonies performed at the temple. In addition to the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, the students visited several other important religious sites in Ayodhya, including the Hanuman Garhi temple and the Nageshwarnath temple. These visits allowed the students to explore the diverse religious traditions and practices prevalent in the region.
To understand the social tenets that promote communal harmony, the students interacted with local residents and community leaders. They learned about the efforts being made to foster religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence among different communities. The students also participated in cultural activities and interacted with people from various backgrounds, promoting understanding and respect. The Ayodhya visit was a valuable learning experience for the students.
