On November 9th, 2023, a group of 10 students and 2 faculty members from LPCPS, under the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit, organized a health and hygiene campaign in Fareedpur village. The initiative aimed at promoting personal hygiene, with a focus on hand washing, by distributing soaps to village residents. The event was conducted under the guidance and support of the village Pradhan, who coordinate and facilitated community participation.
The group visited several households in the village, particularly focusing on families in need. They distributed over 100 bars of soap, explaining the importance of regular hand washing in preventing the spread of diseases, especially during the ongoing change of climate. The students demonstrated proper hand washing techniques and shared educational materials on maintaining hygiene.
The pradhan played a key role in rallying the community for the cause, ensuring the participation of local children. The students also engaged in discussions with the village students, addressing their concerns about sanitation and providing information on other essential health practices.
The event was a success, fostering greater awareness about hygiene and its significance in overall health. The initiative reflected the commitment of LPCPS and its NSS unit to contributing to the well-being of rural communities.
