On 11th November 2023, a group of 27 students from Lucknow Public College of Professional Studies (LPCPS) participated in a meeting with the Pradhan of Faridpur village, organized by the NSS unit of LPCPS. The meeting was attended by Dr. L.S Awasthi, Dean Academics along with three faculty members of the institution.
The primary objective of the meeting was to foster collaboration between the college and the local community, enhancing the involvement of students in rural development activities. Dr. Awasthi and the faculty members discussed various social initiatives, including the importance of education, sanitation, and sustainable development for rural areas. The Village Pradhan shared insights into the needs and challenges faced by the local community and emphasized the importance of youth participation in addressing these issues.
The students actively engaged in the discussion, offering suggestions for potential projects and initiatives that could benefit the village. They also expressed their interest in taking part in activities such as organizing health camps, awareness drives, and skill development programs.
This meeting was a step towards bridging the gap between urban education and rural development, fostering a sense of social responsibility among the students while promoting community engagement.
