The NSS unit of Lucknow Public College of Professional Studies, in collaboration with the Kalakriti Club under the leadership of Ms. Saloni Agarwal (Head, Kalakriti Club), organized a workshop on waste management. The event aimed to promote environmental sustainability by teaching students innovative ways to reuse waste materials.
During the workshop, students were trained in the art of making carry bags and paper envelopes using old newspapers. This initiative was designed to encourage eco-friendly practices and reduce dependency on plastic bags. The session was both interactive and informative, emphasizing the importance of recycling and responsible waste disposal.
A special demonstration was conducted by Nishant Chaurasia, a BBA Final Year student, who skillfully guided participants in crafting paper bags. His step-by-step instructions helped students understand the process and motivated them to adopt such sustainable habits in daily life.
The workshop received an enthusiastic response from students, highlighting the importance of waste reduction and creative reuse of materials. The NSS unit and Kalakriti Club successfully fostered environmental consciousness through this initiative, reinforcing the college’s commitment to sustainability. Such workshops contribute significantly to spreading awareness and inspiring action toward a greener future.
