On 23rd January, a grand event was organized on the occasion of National Voters Day in the capital city of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow. A walkathon rally was flagged off from KD Singh Babu Stadium with the objective of spreading awareness among citizens about the importance of voting. Thousands of students enthusiastically participated in the rally along with the Chief Electoral Officer of Uttar Pradesh, Mr. Navdeep Rinwa, Divisional Commissioner Ms. Roshan Jacob, and the District Magistrate.

In this awareness rally, 100 students from Lucknow Public College of Professional Studies (LPCPS) also took active participation. The students were guided by the college’s NSS, Programme Officers, Dr. Ashish Kaushal (Associate Professor) and Mr. Chetan Khanna (Assistant Professor). During the rally, the students emphasized the importance of voting and inspired citizens to exercise their right to vote. Through posters and slogans, they highlighted the need for public participation in strengthening democracy. The event proved to be a successful initiative in raising awareness among the youth regarding voting and in encouraging them to become responsible citizens.
