On the 7th of March 2025, an awareness campaign on the theme "Drug-Free India – The Social Evil" was organized by 21 enthusiastic students of Lucknow Public College of Professional Studies under the banner of the National Service Scheme (NSS). The campaign aimed to raise awareness about the detrimental effects of drug abuse on individuals and society at large.
The event was held in two nearby villages, Sallahimau and Dallookhers, located close to the college. The initiative was inspired by the Hon'ble Governor's vision to create a drug-free society. Dr. Ashish Kaushal, NSS Programme Coordinator, and Mr. Neeraj Singh, Assistant Professor, accompanied the students during the campaign, guiding them in their efforts to spread knowledge and support to the local communities.
During the campaign, students conducted informative sessions, distributed pamphlets, and engaged with the villagers through interactive discussions. They highlighted the consequences of drug addiction on health, family, and society, and encouraged the youth to stay away from such harmful substances. The campaign successfully communicated the importance of leading a drug-free life and the need for collective efforts in combating drug abuse.
The event concluded with a sense of hope and determination to work towards a healthier, drug-free India.
