On 9th April, 2025, a group of 24 students from the NSS unit of Lucknow Public College of Professional Studies (LPCPS), accompanied by their Programme Coordinator Dr. Ashish Kaushal and Mr. Chetan Khanna, visited a primary government school in a nearby village. The visit was part of their community outreach initiative aimed at supporting underprivileged students and understanding the challenges faced in rural education.
During the visit, the NSS volunteers distributed essential stationery items such as notebooks, pens, pencils, and erasers to the young students. This small act aimed to encourage them in their academic journey and provide much-needed learning materials. The volunteers also spent time interacting with the children, engaging them in light-hearted conversations and activities.
Moreover, the NSS students took the opportunity to listen to the problems and concerns shared by the village students. These included lack of proper infrastructure, insufficient teaching staff, and scarcity of basic educational resources. The LPCPS team assured the school of continued support and expressed their commitment to bringing attention to these issues.
The visit was a meaningful experience for both the NSS volunteers and the school children, fostering a sense of empathy, responsibility, and social awareness among the students of LPCPS.
