Traffic Awareness Programme 2025

Lucknow Public College of Professional Studies, Vinamra Khand, Gomti Nagar, organised a Traffic Awareness Programme 2025 on 22 January 2025 in the conference hall of LPCPS. The objective of the programme was to sensitise students towards safe road behaviour and to reduce accidents through awareness and self-discipline.

The resource person for the session was Mr. Pankaj Sharma, Safety Manager (Road Safety), Traffic Training Park, Lucknow. He delivered an informative presentation on basic traffic rules, the meaning of traffic signals, lane discipline and the importance of wearing helmets and seat belts. He highlighted the serious consequences of over-speeding, drunken driving and mobile phone usage while driving. Through real-life examples and visuals, Mr. Sharma explained how a moment of carelessness can cause lifelong regret.

Students actively participated in the interactive session by asking questions and sharing their daily experiences on roads and while commuting to college. Mr. Sharma also guided them on how to be responsible pedestrians and how to encourage their family members to follow traffic rules.

The programme concluded with a pledge by students to obey traffic regulations and spread the message of road safety in society. The event proved highly beneficial and reinforced the importance of “Safety First” in everyday life.
