On 7th March 2025, the NSS Unit of Lucknow Public College of Professional Studies (LPCPS) organized a special literacy-promoting activity titled “Sab Padhe Sab Badhe” with the objective of encouraging students to develop a consistent habit of reading. The initiative was conducted from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, during which all participating students were asked to read a book of their choice for one uninterrupted hour.

The activity was designed in response to the growing influence of social media on students’ daily routines, which often results in reduced focus on reading and academic enrichment. Through this programme, the NSS Unit aimed to redirect students’ attention toward meaningful learning, improve their concentration levels, and cultivate a deeper interest in books and quality reading material.

Students participated enthusiastically, selecting books related to literature, self-development, history, science, commerce, and other subject areas. The quiet and focused environment created during the session helped students engage deeply with their reading material. Faculty members also supported the initiative by interacting with students and motivating them to include regular reading in their daily schedules.
