On 25 January 2025, the NSS Unit of Lucknow Public College of Professional Studies (LPCPS) actively participated in the National Voters’ Day Awareness Programme held at the Marsh Hall, Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Lucknow. The event was part of a larger initiative where several schools and colleges across the city set up thematic stalls to promote voter awareness and participation.
The LPCPS stall was designed with a patriotic theme decorated in tricolour balloons and posters emphasizing the importance of voting. Under the guidance of Dr. Ashish Kaushal, Associate Professor & NSS Coordinator, Mr. Chetan Khanna, Assistant Professor & NSS Coordinator, and Mr. Neeraj Singh, Assistant Professor, around 18 NSS volunteers participated enthusiastically.
The students showcased different models, including a demonstrative Electronic Voting Machine (EVM), informative charts, and awareness posters highlighting the voter registration process and the role of youth in democracy. Visitors, including government officials and dignitaries, interacted with the students and appreciated their efforts in promoting electoral literacy.
The initiative successfully encouraged students and citizens to understand the voting process and inspired them to become responsible voters. The participation of LPCPS students under the NSS banner reflected their commitment towards nation-building and civic responsibility.
