INVITED SPEAKER
Dr. Shailesh Srivastava, Associate Professor Department of Zoology.
Dr. Shailesh Srivastava was talking about Mental health promotion attempts to encourage and increase protective factors and healthy behaviors that can help prevent the onset of a diagnosable mental disorder and reduce risk factors that can lead to the development of a mental disorder.2 It also involves creating living conditions and environments that support mental health and allow people to adopt and maintain healthy lifestyles or “a climate that respects and protects basic civil, political, socio-economic and cultural rights is fundamental to mental health promotion. Without the security and freedom provided by these rights, it is very difficult to maintain a high level of mental health.”3
Specifically, mental health can be promoted through-
- Early childhood interventions (e.g., home visits for pregnant women, pre-school psychosocial activities);
- providing support for children (e.g., skills-building programs, child and youth development programs);
- programs targeted at vulnerable groups, including minorities, indigenous people, migrants, and people affected by conflicts and disasters (e.g., psychosocial interventions after disasters);
- incorporating mental health promotional activities in schools (e.g., programs supporting ecological changes in schools and child-friendly schools);
- violence prevention programs; and, among others,
- community development programs.4
Dr. Shailesh Srivastava was talking about Positive youth development is defined by the Interagency Working Group on Youth Programs as an intentional, pro-social approach that
- engages youth within their communities, schools, organizations, peer groups, and families in a manner that is productive and constructive;
- recognizes, utilizes, and enhances youths' strengths; and
- promotes positive outcomes for young people by providing opportunities, fostering positive relationships, and furnishing the support needed to build on their leadership strengths.
It provides a lens for promoting the mental health of youth by focusing on protective factors in a young person's environment, and on how these factors could influence one's ability to overcome adversity. Learn more about positive youth development.

INVITED SPEAKER
Mr. Paritosh Kumar Shukla
Scientific Officer R
Raja Ramanna Centre for advanced Technology
Department of Atomic Energy, Indore
Mr. Paritosh Kumar Shukla told that It has been understood that there is no significant statistical difference between the control group's and the experimental group's mathematics report grades mean and pretest scores mean before the implementation. Considering these results, it can be said that participants in the control group and the experimental group have equal readiness levels before the implementation. This result is a preferred situation for a sound research. It is understood from the research that, according to the results of the Mann-Whitney U-test, which has been applied to the posttest scores, the academic achievements of the experimental group students is statistically different at significant levels and higher than the academic achievements of the control group students. Here from, it is seen that the groups, whose lessons have been carried out through CASs with CAMI method at high levels, such as “transformation” by using the ICTs, are more successful than the groups, whose lessons have been carried out by using traditional teaching method at basic levels, such as “replacement” by using the ICTs. Besides, it is understood that the CAMI activities which have been carried out through CASs have a strong effect (Cohen, 1992)in the occurrence of the difference between the groups when the effect size is considered.
He told that Teachers can be provided training about CAMI and CASs, such as Mathematica, so they can benefit from ICTs by achieving the technology integration at high levels in their lessons. In lessons, the worksheets and dynamic materials used have a great importance in achieving the CAMI in which the technology integration is achieved at a high level. For this reason, the teachers or the researchers have to design the worksheets and the dynamic materials in question finely before they begin the activities about CAMI. It can be said that one of the main differences which separates CAMI from the traditional teaching methods is that students make individual inferences by interacting with computers. That interaction is usually achieved with dynamic materials. Students can be provided training about CASs such as mathematics to level up their interactions with computers.
Thus, students can not only use the dynamic materials that are presented for them, but also they can form their own computer programs about mathematical structures. Again, teachers can give their students homework in a way they can benefit from CASs differently by this means. Likewise, by enabling students to use CASs at higher levels, it can be achieved to use CASs at the assessment and measurement phase, too.
In order to make the effects of CAMI activities through CASs more understandable, new studies, in which different subjects of mathematics and geometry are approached, can be done. By means of these studies in question, the teachers who want to use CAMI in their lessons can be ensured to have opinions about which subject and at what levels they can achieve a technology integration, the positive and negative sides of the process and the effects of CAMI on the students' achievements.

INVITED SPEAKER
Mr. Gurmeet Singh
Head counselor Skill for Us
Mr. Gurmeet Singh was telling that here are some simple stress reduction techniques that teachers can incorporate into their daily lives:
1. Embrace Mindfulness Mindfulness practices like meditation or deep breathing exercises can help teachers become more present in the moment, reduce anxiety, and improve focus. Taking just a few minutes each day to center oneself can significantly impact overall well-being.
2. Prioritize Boundaries Establishing clear boundaries between work and personal life is essential. Resist the urge to check emails or answer calls after school hours. Dedicate this time to activities that bring joy and relaxation, whether it’s spending time with loved ones, pursuing hobbies, or simply getting enough sleep. A well-rested teacher is a more effective teacher.
3. The Power of “No” Teachers often wear many hats, juggling administrative tasks, lesson planning, and parent communication on top of classroom instruction. Learning to say “no” to additional responsibilities that are beyond their capacity is essential. Focus on what matters most – creating a positive learning environment for their students. The school administration can also play a role by advocating for manageable workloads and respecting teachers’ time.
4. The Strength of Collaboration No teacher is an island. Building strong relationships with colleagues fosters a sense of community and provides invaluable support. Sharing lesson plans, collaborating on projects, or simply venting frustrations with peers can create a powerful network of understanding and encouragement.
5. Movement is Medicine Physical activity is a natural stress reliever. Teachers can incorporate short walks or stretching breaks into their daily routine. Participating in group fitness classes or finding an accountability partner for exercise can further amplify the stress-busting benefits.
6. Fueling Your Body Teachers often sacrifice their lunch breaks or resort to unhealthy snacks to save time. However, prioritizing healthy eating habits is essential for energy levels and mental well-being. Pack nutritious lunches, schedule proper breaks for mindful meals, and stay hydrated throughout the day. A well-nourished body is better equipped to handle stress and perform optimally.
7. Celebrate Small Wins The daily grind of teaching can overshadow the small victories. Taking a moment to acknowledge achievements, both personal and professional, can boost morale and keep teachers motivated. Whether it’s a student’s “aha” moment, a successful classroom activity, or mastering a new technology tool, celebrating these wins fuels intrinsic motivation.
8. The Power of Gratitude Taking time to reflect on what they are grateful for can shift a teacher’s perspective and combat negativity. This could be anything from a supportive colleague to a student’s kind note or simply the joy of learning. Keeping a gratitude journal or sharing appreciation with colleagues can cultivate a sense of optimism and well-being.
9. Seek Professional Support
If stress feels overwhelming, seeking professional help is a sign of strength, not weakness. School counselors, therapists, or employee assistance programs can provide valuable tools and strategies for managing stress and emotional well-being.

INVITED SPEAKER
Ms. Priyanka
(Yoga Trainer)
Ms. Priyanka spoke that By learning the art of dropping the effort through yoga, one experiences the state of being in total alignment with infinity. Yoga can bring about complete balance in one’s personality. It holds out the promise of many solutions that today’s behavioral sciences are looking for. Yoga is the way for human potential to blossom to its fullest, a path to attain the highest goal of uniting with the infinity.
The purpose of yoga
Ms. Priyanka spoke that Patanjali, the propounder of yoga, enunciates, “The purpose of yoga is to stop misery before it comes.” Whether it is greed, anger, jealousy, hatred, or frustration, all these negative emotions can be healed or re-oriented through yoga.
“Yogah Karmasu Kaushalam”, meaning yoga is a skill in action and expression. Yoga is the skill to live your life, manage your mind, deal with emotions, be with people, be in love, and not let that love turn into hatred. In this world everyone loves, but that love does not stay the same for long. It turns into hatred, sometimes almost immediately. Yoga is that skill, that perspective, that maintains love as love.
A Brief History of Yoga
Ms. Priyanka spoke that In the hierarchy of Vedic knowledge, there are four Vedas – Rigveda, Samveda, Yajurveda and Atharvaveda, followed by four Upavedas or sub-Vedas – Ayurveda, Arthaveda, Dhanurveda, and Gandharvaveda. Further down the line are six upangas or components – Shiksha, Kalpa, Vyakarana, Nirukta, Chandas, and Jyotisha. These are further classified into six sub-components – Nyaya, Vaiseshika, Sankhya, Mimansa, Vedanta, and Yoga.
Even during the Indus-Saraswati civilization (dating to 2700 BC), several seals and fossils have been found, with figures performing Yoga. This suggests that yoga was known and practiced even in those early stages of civilization. Read more about the origins of yoga here.
The benefits of yoga are multifold

INVITED SPEAKER
Dr. Ajay Kumar Verma
(Professor
Department of Respiratory Medicine King George’s Medical University, Lucknow)
Dr Sateesh Verma , (Professor Junior Grade Department of Anesthesiology
King George’s Medical University, Lucknow)
Dr. Ajay Kumar Verma was telling that there are two main stages to CPR: the preparation stage and the CPR stage.
Preparation steps
Before performing CPR on an adult, use the following preparation steps:
Step 1. Call 108
First, check the scene for factors that could endanger you, such as traffic, fire, or falling masonry. Next, check the person. Do they need help? Tap their shoulder and shout, “Are you OK?”If they are not responding, call 108 or ask a bystander to call 108 before performing CPR. If possible, ask a bystander to go and search for an AED machine. People can find these in offices and many other public buildings.
Step 2. Place the person on their back and open their airway
Place the person carefully on their back and kneel beside their chest. Tilt their head back slightly by lifting their chin. Open their mouths and check for obstructions, such as food or vomit. If an obstruction is loose, remove it. Trying to grasp it may push it farther into the airway if it is not loose.
Step 3. Check for breathing
Place your ear next to the person’s mouth and listen for no more than 10 seconds. If you do not hear breathing or you only hear occasional gasps, begin CPR. If someone is unconscious but still breathing, do not perform CPR. Instead, if they do not seem to have a spinal injury, place them in the recovery position. Keep monitoring their breathing and perform CPR if they stop breathing.
CPR steps
Use the following steps to perform CPR:
Step 4. Perform 30 chest compressions Place one of your hands on the other and clasp them together. With the heel of the hands and straight elbows, push hard and fast in the center of the chest, slightly below the nipples.
Push at least 2 inches deep. Compress their chest at a rate of at least 100 times per minute, letting the chest rise fully between compressions.
Step 5. Perform two rescue breaths Ensure their mouth is clear, tilt their head slightly, and lift their chin. Pinch their nose shut, place your mouth entirely over theirs, and blow to raise their chest.If the person’s chest does not rise with the first breath, tilt their head. If it still does not rise with the second breath, the person might be choking.
Step 6. Repeat the cycle of 30 chest compressions and two rescue breaths until the person starts breathing or help arrives. If an AED arrives, carry on performing CPR until the machine is set up and ready to use.
